Founded in 2012, Endeavor Catalyst is the rules-based fund of Endeavor, with over $500M in Assets Under Management across four funds.  Endeavor Catalyst has invested in 260+ companies across 35+ markets to date, the portfolio comprises 22 exits and 49 companies valued at over +$1B.

A mix of Endeavor’s promising track record and the dynamism that Mexico’s tech ecosystem is experiencing have together created an opportunity to continue impacting the ecosystem by replicating the Endeavor Catalyst model in Mexico. Why Mexico?

  1. Capital: In the wake of a significant capital raise in 2021, larger than the total of the past 10 years combined, the market is undergoing a shift. Moreover, even with the capital raising, the secondary market hasn't taken off yet.
  2. Unicorns:  By 2024, unicorns are changing their strategic focus. While they previously prioritized valuation growth and rapid scaling, they are now emphasizing profitability and strengthening their existing customer base. To achieve this, they are exploring alternative financing options beyond traditional debt and credit lines, such as dual listings and other strategies, diversifying their sources of capital for sustainable growth.
  3. Foreign entrepreneurs: Among LATAM countries, Mexico has become a prominent destination for startups. The top three expansion routes for startups from Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina all lead to Mexico, highlighting the country's attractiveness as a hub for entrepreneurial growth
  4. Soonicorns: As of September 22, there are currently 34 startups in Mexico with estimated valuations exceeding $100 million, signifying a pivotal moment in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Furthermore, out of these, 16 are Endeavor Entrepreneurs, with 4 in the process of becoming Endeavor Entrepreneurs
